A few questions about Provence, France?

Can someone (preferably someone who has lived in Provence or studied it) tell me what nationalities of people live there and its cultural roots, culture/heritage? Thank you and if you know fluent french please message me, I would like someone to help me proofread...

They are French of course and they speak french but they have a strong accent.

Hello,

Im french, native from Aix en Provence.  

Provence has been for a long time a kingdom. So we have our proper dialect, which is not really talked today. I would say Provence is a mix between a lot of civilisations. Fristly, we have this property to be mediteranean. In this view, there are a lot of people who came during the years 60's in Provence. For example there is a lot of People originary from Spain which left Franco during The WorldWar II, Italian, Corsican, Africans, North aFricans, Greeks, Armenians...

I think, the most important thing to say about these people: is that we all born in Provence, we all speak with this tipical accent and whatever our origins we build our region for the future because we all feel "Provençaux" (From Provence).
