A few questions about bedding?

I've never slept on an actual bed, I've always slept on a couch. (I come from the ghetto you see...) ... so I've never had to buy a bed set or anything. Well I just bought my first bedding stuff. (Shabby Chic style... it's really cute!!) It came with a pillow sham, fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillow, toss pillow, quilt etc. My questions:

-What am I suppose to do with the flat sheet. My mother says I'm suppose to use it like a cover?? I thought it's suppose to go over the fitted sheet.

-How many regular sized adults can fit on each bed size: -twin, full, queen, etc...? Would a twin bed be able to fit two very skinny people?

Yes the flat sheet goes over the fitted sheet and you cover up with it.  You can fit two people on a twin bed if you like to sleep really close! I wouldn't want to do it for long.

The top sheet goes over the fitted sheet. Its like a cover....but most people don't use them. well most people that I know. I like the feel of my blanket more.

Regular size adults sleep on a queen or King. I am a big person, and my boyfriend and I were able to sleep on a twin. but there was no moving room. I would recommend a full or a queen so you can snuggle....but still move around.

Don't forget to turn your mattress over every once in a while. it helps freshen things fun, and reduces lumps. I would also get a mattress pad. It helps keeps out the gems, and is washable. I never understood them till I grew up. They are also made for comfort.
