  1. Epoxies all have similar isotopes of resins. It all depends on the texture you want. The hardness. The cure time and temperature resistance you want. JB dries hard and it has a high temp tolerance. Go to the glue section at Home depot they have everything.............There is one chemical that can dissolve any epoxy........It's called M.E.K.

  2. jb weld is an epoxy putty with metal filings blended into the resin. it is an excellent all purpose epoxy putty-WIth Metal!

The key to all the epoxies is to blend the resin and the hardener properly.  Epoxy pastes and putty are available at every big hardware store somewhere near the glue aisle

you might want to look at tubes of silicone adhesive in the painting area. the silicon is realatiely safe

if you use epoxy let it cure for a looong time. It gives off nasty vapors while curing

  3. Most Epoxy Putty when it is cured is safe for skin contact. You can get epoxy putty from most hardware stores. read the warning labels on back of package. Also at craft stores, like Micheals craft supply, they sell strong glue that is safe for sure for skin contact.
