A few questions in one?

Question

ok is practicing using a tampon when your not on your period bad?

and is wearing a tampon when you are not on your period (but might start) bad?

because i am going to two end of the summer pool parties and i am supposed to start my period that weekend.

oh and also because i have only used tampons with applicators and the ones i have dont have applicators

Using tampons when you're not on your period is a bad idea. Not only can you dry out your v****a, but you can also put yourself at risk from infections and TSS. The same goes for using one when you think you might start.

If it were me, I'd just try to be more 'aware' of myself while I'm at the party and go check if I think I've started, because its better that than put your body at risk.

Have you ever pulled out a completely dry tampon?  YIKES!  It really, really hurts and probably causes tears in your vaginal tissues which could lead to infection.  Just have one with you.  Its not worth the discomfort or risk to wear one "just in case".

practicing using it is not bad but wearing one when your not onyour period is. have you heard of TSS txic shock syndrome. what causes it is when women wear tampons that are too obsorbant for their flow an wearing one when you dont have a flow can also cause it

Well, I've done that before but from reading these other answers I won't do it again. But yeah it does hurt when you pull it out.

1. NEVER practice using a tampon when not on period - can cause all sorts of unwanted health problems / diseases. there is no blood to soak  up so also causes serious dryness and will be very painful to pull out.   will also be much much more difficult to put in with no blood anyway, so wont actually be much good practice. dont do it.

2. yes, again. dont do it.

non applicators you just push up with your finger with no plastic cover. wash your hands before (to stop any germs going in) and obviously after.
