  1. As if the world didn't have enough bettas shoved into bowls already =]

    here is a nice website:

  2. 1.How long did you condition your first pair? Until their ready. females are ready when their plump, have bars instead of stripes, and have a small white tube by her two long fins on her belly. And the male builds a bubble nest.

2.how long did your first spawning last? a few minutes

3.How long do you normally condition them? Their usually ready after about a week.

    4. How long do most spawnings last? (Just average ammount of time). A few minutes

    5. How many tries did it take you to get s successfull spawning? a few.

    Additional facts...

The male will display and coax her under the nest. Then they spawn. http://www.petfish.net/articles/pix/bett... The female will drift semi awake. Remove her about half a minute after their done. (You'll know when their done because the male will be putting eggs in the nest.) Remove the male after the fry start to swim. Feed swimming fry Infusoria. You can feed them a drop of milk.

This is how to condition them. Put their tanks beside each other. The male will flare "displaying to her". http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x36/s... .  Basically trying to make himself look manly. The female will watch him. Feed them both good. Preferably freeze dried blood worms and live brine shrimp. When the female is conditioned she'll be plump and have a white tube. http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Betta,64.jpg

    Good luck!

    Hope the pictures helped.

  3. I had a male and bought a female that was full of eggs, put them together and first time was a charm. I only bred them once but it was not difficult. I am not sure how to condition the female but I imagine you tease her with the male.
