Im gonna buy a new digital camera. I like my digital now, but its not meant for taking fast photos like surfing because thats what I shoot. And my normal camera is good, but money for constant development is annoying. I wanna buy a canon rebel because I heard that those cameras are really good for surf photos and theyre fairly cheap. So which model do you think is the best for surf photos but at the same time, not like 1000 dollars. Im willing to spend up to maybe 700. Thank you very much to those who help.

  1. Ok...I have a rebel, and Im about to upgrade to a "D" series.

First of all, are you talking about "grabbing the shot" or "taking 60 photos and maybe getting 2?"  Because, the Rebel's have O-K burst speeds, like 3fps for most of them, but are plenty responsive.

Anyway, idk why I said that, but yah, I have an XT and Id go for a higher up like the XTi or XSi for the screens if nothing else, but you'll be more than happy.

  2. consider this

    along with this

    http://www.amazon.com/Canon-WP-DC16-Unde...

very nice setup for under $400.

You would need to use the "prefocus" feature where you press the shutter down 1/2 way in preparation for the shot

otherwise you can just hold the shutter button down and it will take a picture every 0.8 seconds.  not very fast these days...
