Sadly not. The veteran trainer will not be renewing his licence and brought down the curtain on his training career when his final runner, Fencote Mystery, finished unplaced at Sedgefield. He is set to hand over to Patrick Holmes, his assistant for the last nine years, who has taken out a lease on Foulrice Farm stables in North Yorkshire.
