i have a koi pond with a bunch of koi,about 2-3 pounds.then we got japanese gold fish that are about 6-8 inches long.. ok now the fox. theres this fox that runs around behind our house. now iheard they eat fish if they can do you think they can get our koi...

  1. How deep is your pond and does it have an overhang of any kind?  I don't think that foxes are exactly super fishers, so if the pond is deep enough for the fish to go to the bottom and avoid the fox, or if there is any place for them to hide from it, they should be fine.  If not, you may want to think about making them a place to hide.  The fox probably fishes by scooping the fish out with a paw onto the land.  Get some rocks or bricks and make an underwater "fish house" or cave where the fish can hide so the fox can't get at them.

  4. or you could try putting a big circle of cayanne pepper around the pond.  we used to do that to keep dogs out of the garden. kept other critters out too
