The professional Canadian tennis player, Daniel Mark Nestor was born on September 4, 1972 in the city of Belgrade.
His Macedonian and Serbian parents shifted to Canada back in 1976 where Mark registered his name in the North view Heights Secondary School in the city of Toronto.
The left handed tennis player turned pro back in 1991. The Canadian tennis ace, has so far grabbed a total of sixty nine doubles trophies from the men’s side along with a gold medal at the Olympic Games back in 2000, the tennis masters title as well as a total of six major doubles trophies from the men’s side. Moreover, Mark also succeeded at the Australian Open mixed doubles competition back in 2007along with his partner Elena Likhovtseva. The pair together also made their way into the final of the Australian Open as well as the French Open championship back in 2006. Daniel’s sixty nine doubles trophies place him among the list of most successful double players. Apart from that, Mark is also the sole tennis ace in the rich history of the game of tennis who has managed to triumph in all Major as well as Masters Series competitions on more than a single occasion.
The 1.90 meters tall Mark has captured a total of three major trophies along with his partner Mark Knowles, a Bahamas tennis ace. The pair together succeeded at the hard court Australian Open championship back in 2002, the United States Open tournament back in 2004 as well as the French Open competition back in 2007. Moreover, he along with Knowles also managed to reach the final match of the Grand Slam hard court Australian Open back in 2005, the French Open tournament in 2002, the United States Open championship in 1998, the grass court Grand Slam competition back in 2002, the Australian Open once again in 2003 as well as the Wimbledon tournament in 2005.
Nestor reached the top doubles ATP world rankings back in 2002. As far as his mixed doubles performance over the past few years is concerned, he managed to reach the final of the US Open as well as Australian Open in 2003 and 2006 respectively. The professional tennis star however won his very first mixed doubles trophy back in 2007 at the Australian Open tournament along with his partner Elena Likhovtseva.
Mark has been a part of the Davis Cup side of his country since 1992. He is also famous for taking part in one of the lengthiest tennis match at the All England Club in the grass court Grand Slam tournament that stretched for a period of six hours and nine minutes in total.
Back in 2007, Nestor as well as Mark Knowles took a diverging path and from there onwards, the Canadian tennis ace started playing with his new partner named Nenad Zimonjic. They pair together grabbed a doubles crown at the St. Petersburg Open during the same year.
Later on, Nestor and Knowles once again played as a pair and succeeded in the Tennis Masters Cup back in 2007. However, it was sadly the last match both of the players participated as a pair. The pair has no plans to appear once again on the courts of tennis together.
Thereafter, Nestor paired up with Zimonjic and won the Queen’s Club competition as well as the Hamburg Masters back in 2008. They also grabbed the grass court Grand Slam trophy back in 2008 by knocking down Kevin Ullyett as well as Bjorkman with a final match score of 7–6, 6–7, 6–3, and 6–3. The next years, they successfully managed to defend their Wimbledon title at the All England Club.
Therefore, without any measure of speculations, the Canadian tennis player Daniel Mark Nestor is an excellent doubles player in the game of tennis who still has a at least two three more years of sports left in him as he is twenty nine years of age at the moment.
