A flashback of Novak Djokovic’s 2010 performances
Born on 22 May 1987, the professional tennis player from Serbia, Novak Djokovic is currently the second ranked player by the ATP. The right handed Serbian has so far won only a single major title back in 2008 at the hard court Australian Open tournament. With this victory, Novak also registered his name as the first tennis player from Serbia to have won a major singles trophy. He also ended the United States Open tournament as runners up back in 2007. Moreover, this superb defensive player has also succeeded in the Tennis Masters Cup back in 2008 and has triumphed in a total of five Masters Series championships.
Talking about his 2010 performances, the Serbian tennis ace, Novak Djokovic started this season by participating in the Kooyong Classic where he knocked down Tommy Haas however was brought down by Fernando Verdasco in his second match.
As far as the Australian Open tennis tournament is concerned, Novak was kicked off by Jo- Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals with a final match score of 6–7(8), 7–6(5), 6–1, 3–6, 1–6. However, in spite of the fact that Novak failed to win in his quarterfinal clash, the Serbian tennis ace stayed at the second highest spot as Nadal could not manage to defend his crown and Federer won the title after knocking down Andy Murray in the final match.
