A flush in poker...?

if 2 people have a flush in texas hold'em and share the ace for the high card who wins the pot... do u split it or do u give it to the person with the unshared high card?

  1. Winner is the person with the highest unshared card in the flush suit (unless the 5 played cards all come from the shared cards, 6th card does not matter even if in flush suit.)


  2. The player with the flush containing the highest combination of cards should win... the highest five cards wins at our table.

  4. It's based on the highest 5 cards, not the highest one card.  It's only a split pot if all 5 cards are shared (the entire board is a flush, and neither player has a flush card high enough to beat anything on the board.

  6. If the  high card is the same, you go to the 2nd high card. If that is the same, you go to the 3rd high card. If they have identical hands, different suits, they split the pot.

  7. You would compare five cards to five cards.

    An example would be  A K J 9 8

                                     A K J 7 4

    where the first three cards are of the same rank but the fourth card in the first hand is higher and thus wins.

    It is possible but unlikely that each player has the same ranking five cards and thus tie.  Ties would split the pot.
