How exactly does it work .. what is the science behind it? When a fly is in a car how does it stay in the air of the car and why doesn't it just go back and hit the window? What makes it in the car's air?

  1. Simple physics -- the concept of inertia.

It is kind of a weird concept, but basically think of the moving car and the earth as two different reference points. If the fly was outside the car hovering, the car would speed by it. however, if the fly was in the car to begin with, all of the air inside the car holding the fly up would be going the same speed as the car, if you think about it, so relative to the earth the fly is going as fast as the car, but relative to the car itself, the fly is hovering.

If the fly were to enter the car from outside while it was moving, it would get squashed in the back. does that make sense?
