A fox in our garden is preventing my dog to use the garden possibly due to the overpowering fox scent. Help?

If you have a small dog he is doing what he should..A fox will eat small household pets..there are many many cases of this..The dog knows this..I would live trap this fox and relocate it or have animal control do it..

Annie,  go to this site for some general info on catching, trapping a fox.  They can kill small pets.  Anyway, try trapping it and then call your local animal control.  They will usually be all too happy to come out and get an animal when the home-owner has done the work of catching the animal....
