Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan’s Test and One Day International (ODI) skipper believes that organizing a franchise league in the country will give exposure to the local players and will help them enhance their skills.
Since the inception of franchise cricket in 2007-08 in shape of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and the Indian Premier League (IPL), revolutionary changes have been brought to the game. A number of cricket boards, following http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s footsteps, have started their own leagues since then, attracting players from all across the world.
Apart from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 also hosted glamorous tournaments, which helped them raise the standard of their domestic sport.

Misbah strongly feels that a cash-rich franchise-based tournament will be a huge success in the country as it will give an opportunity to the emerging players to display their skills. Playing alongside international stars, in the middle-order batsman’s opinion, will be a great experience for the domestic players. He urged the PCB to speed up the process and organize the event as soon as possible.
“The PPL will help in developing the temperament and skills of players. It will also throw up some new talent. The exposure the players will get will help them acquire professionalism. It is very important for Pakistan to go for it,” he stated.
No international cricket is being played in the country for almost three and a half years now, since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s Test captain thinks that a franchise league will help bring international cricket in the country.
“It is a big dilemma and it is time the cricketing world comes together to push for international cricket in Pakistan,” he added.
Taking into account the financial situation of Pakistan’s domestic players, PPL will surely help them become true professionals.
