  1. Of course because being an American doesn't force you where to live, I have been living outside the US for long time now still I am American

  2. Yes, she will remain a US citizen unless she chooses otherwise. Simply getting married to a foreign used to be an act that forced a woman to lose her US citizenship a long time ago, but not anymore.

There are some other things to consider. Even though she retains her US citizenship, her husband could keep her or any children they may have from ever leaving the UAE, under Emirati law, so being a US citizen offers less protection to a married woman in most of the Middle East than one might imagine.

  3. She will still be a US citizen, unless she renounces her citizenship.  People get married in other countries all the time.

  4. Yes they will still be an American citizen. She was born in America and her birth certificate says that information.  Tell her I married an Egyptian man and lived in Egypt months but i am still American. The marriage does not change her nationality on uscis can change her status she has to apply to have the citizenship of UNITED ARAB I'M, DUBAI.

Let me give them a piece of advise it is better to go their and meet face to face and invite them through a fiance petition form 129 to come to America quicker.  I married an Egypt on August 12, 2006 and applied for my immigrant visa it is the slowest way to bring them to America I am still waiting for him to receive an answer to come to America. His interview was April 16, 2007 it takes longer to bring them to America if you marry and apply in their country.

  5. If she was born here then there is virtually no way she can be stripped of her US citizenship unless she renounces it.
