A friend & I want to walk the coast of Aust. can anyone help with information on how we can organise it PLEASE

surely someone out there can lead me in the right direction to find out how to get maps or any other information on walking around the Australian coast we would like to do it as a fundraiser for childhood luekemia

do you have any idea how big australia is?

if you started walking now you will still be walking in 5 years time

have you got any idea of the time & distance involved in walking all the way around Australia

allow a few years

try a shorter distance say melbourn to brisbane that will be only about 2,000 klm at 30 a day it will only take you about 10 weeks

I agree with mmdjaajl. I think you need first to REALLY REALLY think about the magnitude of what you are trying to do.

There are many of these long walks to raise funds going on regularly as well, and it is not anything special now.

"how to get maps or any other information" - go to a map shop might be a good idea. But you will need a lot and I mean A LOT of organisation to make this happen as well as some advertisement and media coverage.

May be you can try walking Highway 1? I think it goes right around Australia. If you start today... you should finish by the time I retire.
