We wern't very close, but I had him down as a "mate"

He moved about 70 miles away about 7 years ago.

I will extend my sypathies to family, but the beggar was a heavy smoker & boozer, so it was on the cards.

Should I go to the funeral?

I seem to be attending more funerals than weddings these days, so what to do ?

  1. you are getting...that's what it means.

  2. Up to you but I suspect you will feel bad later if you don't go and say your final goodbyes.

  3. eh, go to the funerals, don't mourn any deaths, life is wasted on the living anyway.

  4. I'm sorry to hear that. However, I do think you should go to the funeral to pay your respects. You knew him and he was part of your life, even if he wasn't a close friend, it's the right thing to do.

It must be hard for you to be attending a lot of funerals lately, but that's life for you. People die and people are born, it's nature. I guess we just have to be strong, face it and try to move on with our lives.

    Best of luck :)
