Yes because genuine friends wouldn't ask for a favour unless it was something really urgent and important.  They know that their friend's time is is also important and wouldn't want to waste it on trivialities.

A true friend is rare.  Most of us have only a few that you could say that you would trust with your life.  To my mind, that is the ultimate definition so no, I wouldn't drop everything to help most people although I would probably sympathise.

Mates are what life is about.

Both my husband & myself would & have done that......no second thought. That's what true friends are all about.

Not counting the cost, just being there for them.

I have done in the past, it's not something to do for the gratitude which is just as well cos i didn't get any. Still glad i did it though.

No........The amount of people I know is into the 100's. The amount of people I know fairly well is 20-30. The amount of people I know really well is about 7. The amount of people I would call a "true" friend is 3. From experience I would only drop everything for about 3 people I know as they would be the people that would do the same for me.
