Depends on a few things are you attending the wedding if you aren't then you need gift of a  certain size that's easy to post. Another thing  that's probably  easier is  safe secure website  that can send  your gift to your friend. Or  gift card from a online store ( In your circumstances this is the best option for you in particular if not attending)

It depends. Where abouts in Asia are you located?

First and foremost I think it really depends as to whether you will be attending the wedding ceremony or not. If you are it's already a huge expense for you to have to travel so very far a card would be more than enough suffice to say ^_^.  If you wouldn't feel comfortable attending empty-handed I would opt for something homemade and extremely meaningful. Do you have a lot of photos of the bride and groom to be? You can always put together a sweet and personalized photo album of the two. If you don't have tons of photos to choose from then perhaps you can ask mutual friends or their family members?

If, however, you aren't able to make it to their ceremony I would say your best bet is to perhaps transfer roughly $50 via the internet. You most likely will not want to mail anything because there is no telling how long it will take, if it will get there in one piece, or IF it will even arrive. Another option would be to shop around on websites (hopefully you will have received those cards that tell you where they are registered and what they are in need of) and purchase an item online where you have an option to have it sent directly to them. Then send them a card in the mail!
