A friend is lookin for a rescue rottie?

a friend of mine is looking for a german rottie. someone told her that there was a site that was giving them away for free, because they were owner released, and not wanted. is there any rescue sites out there where she can get a rottie, and not pay a bunch of money?

No rescue will give away a dog for free because

1. They want to make sure the person  has the financial means to support a dog by paying an adotion fee

2. It shows that this is not a spur of the moment decision and the person won't just turn around and give the dog away agian because they had to invest money in it

3. A person is much more likely to keep a dog when they spend >$100 to get it,

If a person can not afford an adoption fee they cannot afford a dog and it will likely end up right back where it started. Petfinder.com has rotties but you aren't going to find them for free anywhere.

go to www.petfinder.com and I think my friend is making a website soon called www.savealifetoday.synthasite.com so check if this one works yet if it doesn't wait a few days
