It's had great weather lately and their begging for rain so it shouldn't rain. There are shops everywhere and they could easily travel to the Gold and Sunshine Coast.

Brisbane is great, nice and warm!! Summer is hot and Winter is mild-you still get sunshine with alittle bit of chill. The beaches are beautiful, tell your friend to go to Surfers Paradise, they have everything there!!! lots and lots of activites to do. There are 3 or 5 theme parks (i cant remember as they keep builiding new ones) which are great fun. Not sure how far out of Brisbane city tho, i think about an hour. But there is so much to do there!
