A friend of mine is moving from the US to another country.?

What does he need to have to attend school out of the country?

He was born in US however one of his parents is a foreigner. PLEASE HELP!

  1. If he is moving with his parents, they should take care of getting copies of his school records to take with them.  then when they arrive, they just need to decide if they want him in public or private school and take him to register.  If he is not a citizen of that country and wants to attend public school , there may be a tuition charge.  If he does not speak the language there, his parents may be able to find a bilingual school...many places have them.   If he is under 18 his parents should take care of getting him a visa. If he is college age, he will probably need to apply for a student visa...unless he can establish citizenship thru his father...and he should be able to.    Nothing to panic about.  I live in Mexico and know families where one parent is American and the other is Mexican.  They may have lived in the U.S. for several years and their children started school there, then they move to Mexico and the parents need to register them for school here.

    It may depend on what country his parent's are from.

    It depends if you are talking about K-12 school or college?

    It is your friend's problem, And that of his parents. They are the ones who will need to cope with this.
