A friend of mine is spitting whitish saliva during the day time.what could it be?

White saliva is just saliva filled with air bubbles; nothing more.

1. It will happen with dry mouth. Tell your friend to drink more water.

2. It happens in patients with gastro-esophageal reflux (GERD) because the muscles at the top of the esophagus don't open for a small bolus, such as a normal amount of saliva. Again, drinking water will help to clear it.

Sounds like dehydration to me. Get them to drink to more fluids.
