  1. I did a party for a 6 year old cousin, what i did is I put little pictures that they had to put together like 2 bee's and a letter Q wich meant go look at the BBQ, and stuff like that. You can try riddles as clues. Try google, they have all sorts of little riddles that you can use for younger kids.

  2. I don't know if your comfortable with this where you live, but we get a group of girls once in a while that go door to door and I think the rule is they have to get everything in order.  They've asked us for stuff like a lucky charms marshmallow, or yesterdays newspaper...that's all I can remember but i think it's so fun when they come over.

BTW--I actually have no idea where these girls come from or ho organizes their scavenger hunt.

  3. A theme is always a little more exciting.  You might try the old standby of the pirate treasure, but you could do a takeoff of the National Treasure movies, or you could pick up a regional or other theme (chinese new year, lost in the mountains, army, etc...)  If you can do costumes, and maybe even customize the clues by making them look old (pirate maps) or putting them inside little bottles (stranded on a desert island theme).

With a wide age range, you might want to consider targeting the clues at specific individuals, so they can all participate.  For example, a clue would start with the name of the person who has to complete that part, this way the 3 year old doesn't just get run over.

  4. do i pirate theme! buy some fake sea shells and attach paper clues to them. at the end, have  pirate dress up clothes hidden in a pirate chest as a prize! :] cute!

  5. I think it would be neat if you used a pirate theme, and then tell them how you are going to hide them  like you did last year but now, when they find every clue to find the treasures, they have sound like a pirate, dress like a pirate, just with handkerchiefs around their heads like that, then go hide the clues,,and then sit and enjoy your treasure hunt.

  6. creative ideas, ta loco, kids dont like that no more

    Hide some cash.
