  1. I agree with Hopalong, it will be the same!!!

  2. Both will provide the same mileage. They are both one gallon and have the same amount of stored energy. The warm gasoline may flow easier, due to a lower viscosity (thickness of a liquid) but it's stored energy remains the same. The trick here is "in a can." Since the can will not use the available stored energy, it must be transferred to an engine that burns that type of fuel. The transfer process will no doubt change the temperature, and, when gasoline is constricted as through a venturi, it's temperature increases. So warm fuel will reach the engine in any case. Another point to consider is  "how warm?" Warm gasoline expands, but it's stored energy decreases per unit of volume. If that system worked, we would all have gasoline line pre-heaters on our vehicles.

  3. cold gasoline has a higher combustion rate although very slight it would be better in drag racers they often have a system that keeps there gasoline cold

  4. Because liquids expand when they are heated, if you had a gallon of cold gasoline the mass would be higher (it would weigh more) than a gallon of warm gasoline. This means that, although you have the same volume there are more gasoline molecules in the cold gasoline and therefore more energy. As there is more energy available to the vehicle in the gallon of cold gasoline, it will go further.

If you are measuring miles per gallon, the mileage will be higher for the cold gallon of fuel.

Add: Levitimmer is correct about cold gasoline producing more energy in the engine, this is because of the extra energy produced when the cold fuel enters the hot cylinder and expands.
