  1. YU-GI-OH trading card game.

  2. There is an old Chinese game called GO. It's all about strategy. Pick one up, if you can find one.  :) It's a very old game the Chinese rulers used to train their sons.

  3. I would think Chinese Checkers would be a good starting game for a young strategist.  Regular checkers would soon follow.  Risk would be another, as would any Avalon Hill strategy game.  Chess and Go are the pinnacles of strategy and take many years to learn and forever to try to master.  I like Stratego, myself.

  4. it depends on how much time you have and the age group

    you could try

    1. monopoly (the chocolate edition is fun)

    2. Stratego - Pirates of the Caribbean (it is only a two player game and might not be a good option for a lot of people)

    3.civilization

    4. mancala

    5.chess

    6. Abalone

  5. In order of the best strategy games:

    Chess

    Heroscape

    Catan

    Risk/ Stratego

    Acquire

  6. Risk is a good game. It's a board game, and the incentive is to take over the entire world.

  7. chess

Unfortunately the differentiation between strategy and tactics requires one be good.

  8. really chess is the game. when playing chess not only you have to think of your move @ strategy but the opponent's as well. because through that only you can make the next move which later takes you to checkmate. the same concept can be appllied in your daily life. more or less, chess shows you how people think and by that, how you can act in reply..

    good luck with chess mate!
