A glimpse at Romain Grosjean’s performance in 2012 Formula 1 season until now
Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has been considered as quite an extraordinary driver in the field of the 2012 Formula 1 season and has performed convincingly well until now.
Grosjean is racing in his first full F1 season and is currently standing at 8th place in the drivers’ championship with 76 points and is sharing his position with Jenson Button of McLaren. Moreover, he is ahead of Sergio Perez of Sauber and is
just a point behind Nico Rosberg of Mercedes.
Although, he has retired in four of the first eleven races, nonetheless, he has successfully scored some reasonable points for his team. He came 6th in the Chinese GP and secured an impressive third podium finish in the Bahrain GP.
Afterwards, he secured fourth place finish in the Spanish GP after setting off from third grid slot. Later, he secured an incredible second podium finish in the Canadian GP and then secured 6th place finish in the British GP.
Even though, he faced difficulties during the German GP as he could not even make his way into the second qualifying session and came 18th in the race later on. Nonetheless, he came back tremendously well in the Hungarian GP and secured an inspiring
third podium finish after taking a start from the second grid position.

It will be important to mention that the Enstone based team has been deemed as a major threat for all the teams in this year’s championship fight with their drivers, Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen.
Besides, they have not been able to win any race in the first half of the season as they struggled during the qualifying of almost all the races and failed to secure a competitive grid position so as to take a strong start.
Nonetheless, their team principal, Eric Boullier has said that they are earnestly looking forward to improve their qualifying pace and hope to come up stronger after the mid-season smash.
Let’s see how the British team shows up with their French and Finnish pair of drivers in the forthcoming races after the August break.
