A global warming quyestion?

Why do some people come on answers, and purposly go into the environment section, to make fun of us. They answer questions obnoxiously, and call us hippies and greenies...They talk abou7t how they don't believe, when global warming is real, dont you think if these people dont believe, or 'just dont care' they shouldn't be in this section in the first place?

t is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the “research” to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

A person does not have to have a belief in something, to be knowledgeable about it.  Your question also gets asked quite a bit in the religious section of YA.  They hear this quite a bit and you are going to hear it also.  If your beliefs can't stand up to a bit of ridicule, you probably shouldn't have them.  I have every right to come into this section and present opposing views.  If you consider that making fun of you, then grow a thicker skin because it isn't going to stop until Global Warming has either been debunked or proved.  No, it has not been proved.  Our knowledge, when it comes to climate change, is in it's infancy.  Scientist can't tell me the weather three weeks from now, let alone in one hundred years.  Let me ask you something.  Why is it that you "believe" in global warming?  If it were proved, belief or faith wouldn't be required.  It would just be a fact.  In my mind, environmentalist and the religious are in the same group.

You have a good point, I have answered some questions in this section alot before. Some people are just their to make fun of people who care. We try to make a difference and all they do is call us names, so you people out there who are reading this and thinking that we are hippies or something along those lines, you all suck! Global warming is true and you can stop it. Reduse, Reuse, and Recycle.(Those are my favorite green tips)

WELL, let me tell you something that everyone should here. If you dont respect the earth than you shouldnt live on it! If you care a bout the earth and its ways then you should be the center of attention. Call me whatever you want i dont really care its a planet i respect. its my home. Trust me you dont wanna live on any other planet. Courtney, they are very mean, me i care about the environment, but the people who litter and not conserve the energy, are gonna get it. When there great great great great great great great great great great great great etc. grandchildran die because the moon is falling apart. WE CAN BLAME THEM! And if you are not a conserver or destroyer to earth, like i was 4 years ago, please take this anwser for an advantage change your ways, yea you may be called hippies, and greenies but at leat inside you feel good about yourself, that your making a difference. Now those people who read this messege and say to themselves, "Boy is she dumb, conserving enrgy and recycling isnt gonna change the world!" The right amount of people that do it will change there city or town. If oyu see someone littering or doing anything to harm the environment, stick up for the earth, but in a polite way, tell them to find a trash can or recycling bin or shut off the light when they leave the room. They're just losers with  nothing better to do.  I go in the health section and ask everyone if they've lost the number to their doctor.  I know. I'm a *****.  Anyway, don't worry about us losers, you can't change us and we will all die ignorant.  (PS.  While I don't necessarily believe that humans are causing GW, I do believe we are killing our earth and using every last resource on the planet)

i really do believe they just don't care. i mean we're all going to die anyway but you still nee the earth pretty and safe for new generations to come.i think global warning should be something people need to respect because that's what makes our earth horrible. greenhouse gases, pollution etc. being green is not something people should be laughing at in my opinion because people need to be more aware of what is going on to our earth. the best way to prevent global warming or trying to make it stop is to save energy, recycle, reduce, reuse, and when you go to the market and you get paper/plastic bags, save 'em. there are sooo many ways to make global warming not as bad.

u bring up a very good point, for instance, im not religous, thats just my personal choice, but im not in the religous questions area blabben my mouth and putting down any one. if i did go and answer to anything there id at least have an argument, and i can back it, but if someones hurt by an argument thats their problem. people like this R J q***r should mind their own biz. actually, maybe he should read about global warming or anything with environmental merrit, and he might change his mind, cuz everytime i see an answer about global warming....

those who agree with the theory of global warming generally have strong, well supported answers, and usually dont bash anyone.

and those who oppose it generally have no facts, no support, and no manners.

so thats enough to reassure me right there.

Not just here, you can find AGW skeptics/deniers almost anywhere.

As much as I disagree with them, and as angry as I get when they post lies/manipulated graphs--fooling onlooking ignoramuses to thinking AGW is a big scam--they do make this forum a little more interesting.

But I still think it would be better if YA was more of a peer-review-esque forum, where factually inaccurate or subjectively based posts were weeded out.

By the way, notice how skeptics almost never post sources. Third poster is a great example. I'd love to see evidence for how scientists orchestrated some grand hoax.
