Question:

A good, inexpensive used car?

I'm looking for a used car that doesn't look all old (doesn't have to look amazing, though), is inexpensive, and dependable. I've seen that I can get a used 95 Subaru Impreza for about 3k, which is about how much I can pay for a car right now. Any other good choices that are around 3000?

  1. You can try going to a car auction. They have a lot of newer model cars that go for less than $3,000.

  2. There aren't a lot of 'new' options-none, actually.  Beware of cars that are selling too cheap (carfax is your friend, run the VIN before buying anything) and remember that any car you buy will incur some repair costs-that's just part of owning a car, and there's nothing you can do about it.  Other than that, I'd be looking at small, cheap cars, which it sounds like you were doing already!
