Question:

A good Canon for 250-300 bucks?

I am interested in buying a Canon camera for 250-300 dollars.

I am not into photography so I am not looking for something pro with lens and stuff (well, ok, I couldn't buy one with this money anyway).

I would like it to have a (don't know the word) little window for the eye, I never felt convenient when taking photos by looking at a screen.

More or less, I need an automatic camera for everyday use. I need something good and simple. Don't need any super-compact size or special design and colors. Just something that does its job well for the money.

Btw, if you have something to strongly suggest from another brand, please say so.

I will leave people to choose for the best answer.

Thank you very much in advance!!

  1. you could probably spend less and suit your needs.  $150 will get you a 7-8 mexapixel camera with image stabilization, great quality photos, manual mode if you ever need/want it, red eye remover tools, ability to attach different lenses (telephoto etc) down the road or add waterproof case, takes a decent movie etc... etc...

The a570 is a better deal IMO because it comes with the ability to make 30fps movies.  This will have to be found at ebay though.
