Right now Im reading the Monster Blood Tattoo series and loving it, my favourite series ever. But when I finish the series I want to be able to read something like it. So if you know any good books along the lines of the genre, please share.

  1. Try some of these:

Neil Gaiman is an amazing author! Any of his books are good. Try Neverwhere first.

Abarat by Clive Barker, Make sue you get the hardcover version though!!! If you liked the first one be sure to check out the next book in the series Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War.

The Abhorsen Trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix

The Maximum Ride series (The Angel Experiment, Schools Out Forever, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, The Final Warning) by James Patterson

His Dark Materials trilogy (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass) by Philip Pullman

The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill

The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray by Chris Wooding

Inkheart and Inkspell and Inkdeath (coming soon!) by Cornelia Funke

The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke

The Chronicles of Narnia (7 books) by C.S. Lewis

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Wind Singer, Slaves of the Mastery and Firesong by William Nicholson

The Sight and Fell by David Clement-Davies

The Earthsea series (starting with A Wizard of Earthsea) by Ursula K. Le Guin

  2. The Eragon books. I'm not sure if the third one is out yet. Harry Potter is also good.

  3. I don't know about the Monster Blood Tattoo series, but if you like comedy, the Myth series by Robert Asprin is a great read.  It has monsters, magic, adventure, and humor.  Also, the Xanth series by Piers Anthony is also a pretty good set.  Both have at least 15 books in the series, so you can stick with it for a while, but the books are entertaining and therefore easy/quick to read.

And my husband is anxiously awaiting the release of Brisinger, so the Eragon trilogy must be pretty good for a fantasy set as well.

  4. Firstly let me say YEAH! GO PAOLINI... GO BRISINGR... Well there is the obvious one: Harry Potter or there is The seventh tower by Garth Nix. I havent finished it yet but so far it's great!

  5. Eragon & Eldest by Christopher Paolini are good reads. The guy practically takes you to another world.

  6. Keys to the Kingdom by Garth Nix are a good fantasy/adventure series

The Lord of The Rings by JRR Tolkien are a classic fantasy series

The Crossroads by Kate Elliott is another fantasy/adventure series

The Bridei Chronicles by Juliet Marillier are a fantasy/romance series

    Hope this helps. Happy Reading!

  7. Blood Prophecy has an excellent variety of sinister creatures and man/beast hybrids that should be right up your alley. Also, when you read the book you'll come pike to pike with the most evil of tyrants, Vlad the Impaler.

The first five pages will leave you breathless!

There's a brief synopsis of the book at:

  8. Read these three books (actually collections of books) in the following order.

    1. Icewind Dale Trilogy (The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, The Halfling's Gem)

    2. Dark Elf Trilogy (Homeland, Exile, Sojourn)

    3. Legacy of the Drow (The Legacy, Starless Night, Siege of Darkness, Passage to Dawn)

Each trilogy is a collection of short books totaling maybe 300-400 pages each? I can't remember exactly. But the work is amazing, and is absolutely one of the best fantasy series of all time.

  9. well....percy jackson..

    the dreamwalker’s child

Samuel Blinks and the forbidden forests

    runemarks
