Question:

A good GPS?

does anyone know a good GPS that you don't have to pay to get the maps updated? i am looking for one in 200 to $300 range. even if you don't know one just let me know what you have how you like it.

I have a Garmin which is preloaded with UK and mapping for Europe and that works just fine not perfect 'cause you still have to be aware of your location but it worked straight out of the box and that is good enough for me mine also has blue tooth but am not too impressed with that feature so keep it simple  good luck.


  2. I have used both TomTom and Mio GPS models. I liked both a lot - they both come with Tele Atlas maps and I found them to be very accurate and reliable. The POI's on both are also great, there are a lot and they are extremely helpful. I am currently using a TomTom and love it - it has text to speech and I would recommend getting a model with this feature. As far as updates go, if you get a new model, make sure that it come with the most up to date maps and you won't have anything to worry about!
