Question:

A good Politics Essay Intro?

I have an essay to complete. The question is asking us to compare the political views of Machiavelli and Locke with reference to power, authority and accountability.

I understand what to write in the essay but I am unsure of how to begin it. I would be grateful for any ideas.

Thanks

  1. Writing about a subject is very personal and the styles are also diverse. The intro, according to mainstream views, should consist of an overview of the subject you are addressing and the issues that you are going to build upon.

Hence a little background regarding the people involved: Machiavelli and Locke, with a very brief account of their views, gives the opening for who, what, where and why in the later paragraphs. Building a pathway, so that your reader is taken on a persuasive journey, is key to the success for most subject areas.

Good luck and I hope that you receive a 1st; an A; or a Distinction!

  3. when writing an essay it is important that you have a beggining a middle and ending which you know, an introduction basically sums up what your going to be writing about so you should start something like within this essay i will undertake a comparison between the political views of machiacevelli and loack, making references to power, authority and accountability, to do this i will ......... e.t.c

i hope this helps and good luck
