That's not much to spend on rent for a nice place in Houston.  Check out www.apartmentratings.com. The further out of Houston you get (say Tomball) the cheaper you living expenses should be. Good luck!

Ill tell you where not to rent in houston. Dont rent from Chasewood Apartments they are horrible!

Northeast Houston is still a big area closer to what freeways? 59 or 45?

edit: never lived out that far east the farthest ive lived is 59 and 1960 and 59 and the beltway.
