  1. I have used phenteramine as an appetite suppressor,  It does work but it is only good for like 2-3 months max.  Your body becomes immune to it and it loses it effectiveness.  Not only does it suppress your appetite  it also gives you a lot of energy.  It is an amphetamine and it does have a risk of addiction.  You have to go pick up your hand written prescription for every month.  The side effects that I have suffered from it are just a little bit of bloating at the end of the day and some very minor stomach cramps sometimes. This could be due to the fact that I do not eat when I take it. like I said it is the side effects that I suffer.  You will have to talk to your doctor about and he will determine if it is right for you!!

  2. Ok, I'll be nice and not offer the platitudes of what you should and shouldn't do to lose weight. However, most appetite suppresants are no longer allowed because of the abuse potential. Pretty much all appetite suppresants that were offered were some version of speed. If you've ever taken Sudafed, you probably noticed a lack of appetite that accompanied this drug. However, due to people refining Sudafed to make speed, you can no longer buy this drug without having your ID checked (at least in TN). If you're looking for something else that will help you lose weight, I'd do some research on Alli. Now, normally I'm completely against this drug. I worked in a pharmacy when this drug was offered only on prescription. Now it's over the counter. This is a drug that is supposed to bond with the fat in your body and then you excrete it when you go to the bathroom. My biggest problem is this can be detrimental to someone who doesn't need to lose weight. However, if you are legitimately obese, I would suggest asking your doctor or pharmacist if it's right for you. Good luck and if you keep at this, it will work. Don't get discouraged if it takes 3-6 months before you start dropping weight. Just remember to keep eating, but eat sensibly. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF!!!!
