  1. Rancid chicken livers, a fish head tied to a string, and one of the alltime best is a chicken neck.

  2. Turkey-Necks it what everybody uses down here.

It works incredibly. Always catch with it.

  3. Use fish, preferably an oily fish like bunker (menhaden). While crabs will eat anything this bait attracts them really fast. Tight lines!

  4. I'd go to the bait or grocery store and look for something soft but solid with a bloody or fleshy smell to it. Make sure it is solid, the reason it is so important is that as you pull the line in that crab is chewing on that bait, if he can't chew on it he'll let go and swim away. If he likes it though you could almost pull him in the boat with the string.

  5. any fish will do, or even a pork chop, as crabs are not fussy eaters

  6. Anything edible.Except crab meat.

  7. Use squid, cheap and very effective. i got 10+ crabs in 20 minutes with it. do take a knife to cut it into hunks though

  8. sea mussel works well, especially if you are near a rock which has tons of them on.

bacon and cheap chicken also work well, because the cheap chicken has a strong smell which stands out in the water, which crabs love.

  9. Animal or Poultry innards like liver & intestines are the best and they are cheap or even free from the market.

  10. bacon works.

  11. smokey bacon

  12. in corpus i saw them use chicken but crabs are scavengers so they will eat almost any meat but notice i said almost

  13. Pretty much anything. You can use chicken from a package, cut bait, dead shrimp, etc...
