A good bar in NY for my friend's birthday??

so my friend's birthday is Saturday, May 3rd and I am trying to find a good bar in NYC to take her and some friends.... something that has some sort of special like an open bar for a reasonable amount of money (up to $35)... and maybe the birthday girl gets stuff for free... somewhere not too swanky... i have about 10 people definitely going... any suggestions?

NYC is HUGE.  Where are you specifically and I'll tell you a good spot.  A simple intersection of streets and what borough is fine.

Company, on East 10th off 1st ave has a deal where the host of the party drinks for free. I've only been there once, but it seemed pretty cool.

and across the street at Cheap Shots, you drink for free on your birthday, but it's not the best place to bring 10 people. It's awesome, but a super dive-y dive and very crowded.

Pete's in Brooklyn. Nearby is a nice pier with a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and fantastic view of the city.

TAJ LOUNGE www.tajlounge.com  and TAO www.taorestaurant.com place is nuts!!! So nice!!! Taj is quiet, relaxing, kool place to go. Tao is off the hook, loud, crazy, and a night your firends wont forget. Food is so so, drinks are great!!
