  2. heavier than heaven...check it out. very very interesting.

  3. things fall apart, really good book

  4. Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan

    Jumper by Steven Gould

I also heard Dune is a good one.

  5. "The Schwa Was Here" was absolutely excellent. It's written from a boy's point of view and is the funniest YA book I've ever read. "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" is also really good, but it deals with autism, and ditto to the boy POV. "Catcher in the Rye" is also very good, and deals with growing up as a guy. Harry Potter, as always, and Artemis Fowl is also fun (though it's focused more towards younger teens, it's still very good). The Pendragon series is awesome, and the Bartimeaus trilogy is incredible. It sort of depends on what genre you want to read. There are tons of books that are geared more towards guys if you look. Have fun reading. ;)

  6. There are many good books already listed above Okami but I suggest broadening your horizons by trying different things.  I recommend Walter Dean Myers as he writes books about the African American culture.  He also has written exciting fictional trial and law books, as well as books in the genre of war.

    Good Luck :)

  7. a good book is twilight

  8. Twilight is romantic cliche c**p.

Read anything by Chuck Palahniuk. He's a minimalistic writer with sweet, concise oneliners and shocking plots.  He wrote Fight Club? Warning though, they're really graphic. But keep you hooked.

  9. I agree with the person who suggest Chuck Palahniuk. Amazing author. Highly satirical, very amusing.

But yeah, highly graphical. There's a book called Choke and the main protagonist is a s*x addict. Ha, no surprise there.

Hmm, another book that is pretty d**n good and isn't written to any gender in particular is 'House of Leaves' by Mark Z Danielewski, the book has a few sexual references and stuff like that. Nothing a 16 year old boy can't handle :)

If you're into philosophy I suggest 'The Fountainhead' by Ayn Rand and 'Atlas Shrugged' also by Ayn Rand.

  10. well,I'm a little younger than you and i see books from a girls point of view, but i think that, even though this is mostly read by girls, twilight would be a good series. i know a lot of guys who have said negative things about it, then after reading it, said that they loved it!!hope that helps
