  1. most broad heads will cut about 1" diameter, some will cut more, but my spinny 3-bladed jobby weighing 360gr (210grain shaft+150grain head) coming out of a crossbow at 250ft/sec has an impact energy of 50 lb/ft = which is about 600 lb/in. which will kill deer.

if you want to put a hole in a deer, get a .50BMG and slug them with solid FMJs

  2. The biggest hole will be made by the 2 blade Rage broadhead, but before you run buy one remember this- Accuracy is what kills- nothing else-on a perfect shot in the lungs, any broadhead on the market will kill the deer- and the rage will leave a humoungous hole in the deer- but if the shot is a little off, and hits the shoulder, the smaller broadheads will be more apt to penetrate the bone and get into the kill zone then the Rage. With the super large 2 inch cut, the rage has no bone penetrating ability at all .But then again, there is no gurantee of a kill if the shot is not perfect with any broadhead. Just try them and see.

    Good luck!

  3. Right now the big thing is the Rage 2 blade, it is 100g and has a huge 2 inch cutting diameter. The neg thing about these are that they are not cheap and you norm dont get the chance to reuse them but they leave a good entrance and exit wound. This season im shooting the Spin Tite Crimson Talon its a fixed blade so u can shoot many animals with the same one and its has a spiral wound design if ya get a chance check out there site at Spintite.com they are pretty bad. good luck

  4. i hunt with muzzies 100grn and they have left some holes bigger than a gun leaves.so i would recomend the muzzies, they have a good kill rate and they fly great

  5. Thunderhead or Muzzy both are excellent.
