I'm a 16, I am buying my own car and I need something good, safe, cute, and good gas mileage. Also something 1,000-15,000 more in the 9,000 range I'm thinking. I really like the Jeep Liberty but the MPG is only 16....

  1. A lot of people at my school had Mazda 6s, and Chevy Cobalts. I think they're both fairly cheap, and kind of cute. I drive an old Ford Explorer(15.5 mpg), and spent about $1,000 over the school year on gas, so I wouldn't recommend the Jeep Liberty.

  2. nissan sentra

    honda civic

    toyota corolla

Im getting a sentra pretty soon.  it get 35 mpg:))

  3. I would Not Recomend Jeep is an American Made and try the new Honda Fit.

    Its vERY CUTE

gAS MILAGE FOR A HONDA FIT IS 34 MPG GOOD LUCK

  4. Jeep stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket." And Crysler's quality control has been dicey for at least 15 years.

You need a reliable, safe, and efficient car that won't cost a ton of money to insure. I'd suggest a Toyota Corolla or a Nissan Sentra. Lean toward the Nissan, as Nissans usually tend to be more buyer-friendly than Toyotas.

EDIT: In addition to being expensive to insure, a Mini will also be hideously expensive to repair. That would be a horrible car for you.

  5. avoid all jeeps

    for $4,000

    look for

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

for around $6k an Acura Integra 98-99 is a great car.

  6. chevy s10 come in 4x4 if that is what you want, and still get 20+ if you get the 4 cylinder

  7. get a four banger with a manual trans

they arent hard to learn, and there is a definite difference from automatic.

    go with an eclipse.

    but thats not exactly safe

  8. def stay away from jeeps and chevy s10?? not really suitable. Get something japanese. It may be boring but you can get a good used camry or accord from 1997-2001 and it'll last you for a long time and give you great mpg

  9. Jeeps aren't too great, they are not very reliable and they're gas guzzlers.

Look at a Honda or Toyota/Scion, they're way more reliable, they're cheaper to own, and they're much better on gas. The Scion XB and TC are good. The Civic is the best of the best small sedans on the road.
