  1. Try this one:

It may not look like a "real" hunting bow, but it is more than enough to do the job.

Just make sure you also get properly made, matched arrows (matched not only to each other, but also to YOU, your bow, and the intended use); talk to a professional at an archery store about what is needed in a good hunting arrow.

And don't forget, as targetbutt has said, to factor in the added costs of those arrows, sights, arrow rest, etc. You can shoot barebow, but unless you are going to spend a LOT of time developing the needed skills for accurate shooting, you will be better off getting all the "bells & whistles" for your bow.

  2. Check your local classifieds and contact private individuals selling there bow you will get the best price that way.

  3. Under $150, try ebay or a pawn shop.  Pretty tough to find a compound setup for that much.  You still need to factor in the cost of arrows(around $50), release, sights, rest, quiver, arm guard.  But if you buy from ebay it might already come with some accessories on it.  Some people do get lucky on there and get a real bargain.  I know of one guy who ran off with a $400 bow for $13 on ebay.

  4. Go to a pawn shop they usually have a fair amount of them, I got mine from a pawn shop and have been using it for 1 1/2-2 years and it works great and I got it for just $40 it is an Indian Stalker bow with 55 pound draw weight.
