A good movie clip editor..?

Lets say I wanted to make a movie trailer so I take some clips off youtube, is there a GOOD program that I can download to give it effects that look professional that I can edit it to make it look pretty awesome.

Honestly no.  I use Windows Movie Maker to do the free semi-pro stuff for YouTube.  But if you want to get really professional, use Sony Vegas Movie Studio.  That comes recommended from a friend who uses it quite a lot for professional music videos he creates.  It's not cheap software...it'll cost you if you're serious about it.
