The party will be in June so it would be good BBQ weather.

  1. I would do a light mix:

    appetizer:

lots of finger foods out (sliced cucumbers, baby carrots, assorted peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.)

    main:

hawaiian chicken kebabs (with pineapple), hot dogs, hamburgers, finger sandwiches (vegetarians)

dessert: watermelon, jello, grapes (can be frozen)

avoid: fish, potato salad, mayo based foods.

    HAVE FUN!

  2. Here are some ideas:

    Menu I

    Grilled marinated chicken

    Asian slaw

Red potato salad with bacon and sour cream

Hot artichoke and crab dip with blue corn tortilla chips

    Watermelon

    Menu II

    Grilled London Broil

    Baked Potato Casserole

    Caesar Salad

    Fruit kabobs

    Cupcakes

    Menu III

Grilled blue cheese and mushroom burgers

    Condiments

    Coleslaw with pineapple

Sliced tomatos with buffalo mozarella and an oil and vinegar dressing

    Chips

    Brownies

    Menu IV

    Grilled chicken, sausages, and steak

    BBQ beans

Fresh sweet corn with chili lime butter

    Old fashioned potato salad

    Sweet Tea, Lemonade

    Strawberry shortcakes

    Menu V

    Grilled Pork Roast

Roasted fresh veges:  red bell peppers, zuchinni, mushrooms, corn

    Red potato salad

    Melon, watermelon, pineapple

  3. Buffalo Wings, Nachos, possibly Burgers

  4. It's hard to beat ribs or chicken that have been slowly BBQ'd on your grill...... Sweet Baby Ray's Original BBQ sauce is great!

For a side dish, this salad is unbeleiveable.

    Thai Salad

2 packages Ramen noodles – crushed – do not use seasoning packet

    ½ cup sunflower seeds

    ½ cup slivered almonds

    ½ cup (I stick) butter/margarine

Sauté all above until golden, set aside to cool

    Chop 1 head Napa cabbage

    Chop 1 bunch green onions

    Dressing: Mix together:

    1 cup oil

    1 cup sugar

    ½ cup white vinegar

    2 tablespoons soy sauce

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine all ingredients just before serving

  5. I WOULD UTILIZE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN GRILL AND DO MOST EVERYTHING OUTDOORS, BUT THROW A BISTRO TWIST ON THE PARTY. WHICH BASICALLY WOULD JUST MAKE IT A LITTLE MORE UPSCALE SO TO SAY. GARNISH THE PLATES WITH FRUIT CUT PROFESSIONALLY(WHICH YOU CAN  GOOGLE TO FIND OUT HOW TO DO VERY EASILY) JUST BASICALLY MAKE BBQ LOOK TEN TIMES BETTER. CUT YOUR FOOD PRETTIER, DESIGN YOUR PLATES AS IF YOURE PAINTING A PICTURE, GET CREATIVE WITH NAMING FOOD FOR EXAMPLE INSTEAD OF PLAIN OL BBQ RIBS WITH BAKED POTATO, YOU COULD SAY: SLOW COOKED BBQ RIBS TOPPED WITH CAJUN PINEAPPLE, ACCOMPANIED WITH POTATO CONFIT (witch just means the potato was soaked for 4 hours in butter prior to cooking) BUT IT ENDS UP SOUNDING REALLY NICE. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOUR PARTY IS A HIT.
