A good restaurant around centro banamex, Mexico city?

I am trying to organize a dinner for about 15-20 people at a restaurant around centro banamex in Mexico city. I am thinking around $30 plus or minus per person (alcohol not included). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Infront of Centro Banamex is the Hipodromo de las americas who have 3 good level restaurants. you can try it. Its really close from Centro Banamex.

OOh, Caballo Bayo is a very nice restaurant, I assure you. I've eaten there several times. They serve traditional mexican food, but it's a very classy place, very clean and the waiters are very good. I went there just a few months ago because my cousin did something you're planning to do: rent a room that serves appetizers and lots of booze and have a formal reunion.

It's not walking distance from the Banamex center, but a bus can take you there in less than 5 minutes if there's no traffic.

It's not nearly as classy as Caballo Bayo, but there's a little restaurant that I really like that's nearby called "El Pibe Argentino". It's a small argentinan restaurant that isn't super fancy but the food is really good and rather cheap. They serve argentinan food. I love their arrachera steaks. 90 pesos for a huge steak that tastes so d**n good isn't a bad deal. I think I've also tried their spagetti and it's pretty good. The downfall of the Pibe is that they only open during the early evening and the restaurant will only fit 30 people if there's no other customers at the time.

If not, the Caballo Bayo is a great choice that won't dissapoint you, I assure you. ;)

I don't think there are any restaurants a walking distance from there. The nearest I can remember is "Meson del Cabayo Ballo". It serves mexican food and it is of a somewhat festive style. It is a popular place for companies to organize thier social events. http://www.caballobayo.com.mx/
