How many yards should be swam in a typical calorie-burning workout?

As with any physical and health issues, you must check with your medical doctor first as to your workout plans.  Daily, a total of 400 yards would be an excellent calorie burning workout with stops every 100 yards in the begining of the regimen (two weeks) and then one stop between the 200 hundred yard segmentsIt's most effective if you vary it with freestyle and breaststroke since you would also maximize toning and conditioning and heart rate build up.

  3. well my team swims about 5000 yards in an hour and a half. but an hour workout is roughly 800 calories.

  4. my team swims about 8000m in the afternoon and weights in the mornings- it is a really good workout. do drills, interval sets, pace, and sprints. Good luck!
