A got a new xbox 360 yesterday and suddenly when i turned it on i got the ring of death?

I have bought a new xbox 360 yesterday and when i read the manual and instructions and all i began to plug everything right to the back. My older brother helped me with everything as well but then suddenly i got the ringed of death we unplugged everything and done it again 3 times that we followed the manual but still getting the ring of death. I got to the store and told them that it didnt work they turned it on and it didnt work for them either and since it was their last xbox 360 they couldnt give me another one so i ask can i get my money back and i showed the the receipt meaning that i bought it that same day. Their answer was NOO it came to a big shock to hear them say no meaning that they couldnt give me my money back even though they have given my the busted console. I ask for their manager then argued him then i got the cops involved and it shows that one of the clerks switch an brand new xbox with a messed up 1. The clerk who switch got a ticket and i got my money back.

why spend money on an xbox 360 when you can get it for free? just go to this site and complete a few quick tasks and they'll send you one - at no charge!

Wow...that go to shows that customers is always right.  Glad it works out for you. I would be very angry if they didn't refund my money, too.   The clerk should of gotten fired also.

Take it back to the store and trade for a new one.  If you had it for a while you would need to send it to a microsoft service center and lose 1 month of play time while it gets repaired.
