I've had foie gras in two French restaurants that I thought was pretty amazing.  The first is Beau Rivage on PCH in Malibu.  Beautiful, romantic little place.  The second is Aimee's Bistro in Redondo Beach.  It doesn't look like much from the outside (it's actually part of a strip mall) but the food is amazing and the owner (Aimee) comes around to everyone's table and chats-- very cute and quaint.
