I have 5 summer projects for school. I have been working on them for the past three weeks but I keep getting stuck. Does anyone know of a great way to overcome writers block?

  1. One way is to take a dictionary and open to any page.  Let your finger wander down the page and whatever word it lands on - determine how can you use that word for your topic.

Another way is to look in the newspapers for references to your topics.  See what they say and expand from there -- either agree or disagree and why.

Don't try to tackle the full topic -- try to limit yourself.  You may have better luck in expanding on just part of a topic.

  2. Just think about your life. Go out and observe wat is going on around you. Dont worry abput ideas if you dont they with just come to you. read some inpiring storys to help spark some ideas. hope this helped

  3. What is the aim of each? Do one at a time, learn about the subject. Answer the question asked. If you try to address all of them at the same time, you will not develop knowledge or momentum in any.

Give us the assignments for more specific advice.

  4. Maybe you have been tackling all projects at the same time. It will be very wise for you to tackle each one of the individually with a distinct, concise and a brilliant essay worthy to be read over and over. However to overcome the writers block take the topic, think it over, grab a pen and notebook and analyze the possibilities write the idea down in one word or sentence with examples beside it.  keep searching and write all the other ideas. prolific writers take their thoughts and make it endless without narrowing it down to one subject.  Have fun, educate, inspire and captivate the attention of your reader. If you consider these in all your essays i bet you the ideas will be flowing like the endless streams of the Niagara falls, and sparkling like the fresh springs of the Irish landscape!

  5. First, relax.   You do your best when your mind is not in a panic trying to balance 5 things at once.  FIRST of all, pick the most important project that you need to attend to.  Depending on the subject of it, maybe browse online to read up on it or even go and check out books on the subject (this also goes for the 4 other assignments, too).  I find when reading other literary materials, it sparks ideas and fascinations that you can run-off with.  But, if you tell more information about the different assignments, maybe I'll be able to help you more.
