well tell those people that talk to grow up and get a life.. there probably just jealous that your hanging out with that guy. Don't let rumor get to you. Why jepordize a potential friendship due to rumors at work. If rumors start flying find out who the culprit is and make friends with her.. you can never have too many friends. If she doesn't want to be friends start to pick on her and maybe she'l learn to stop gossiping.

Why should you care about what other people think or say if you know you not doing anything wrong like violating a 'fraternizing in the workplace' rule. Sounds so much like a giggly schoolgirl.

Reminds me of the time when a coworker and I thought a guy who worked in a different dept. was so hot. Her behavior was like yours... no offense. On the other hand, I approached him and we talked...I said I thought he was cute...later, he flirted and eventually we met after work for drinks. Now we didn't 'hook up' or anything but I'm sure a real man (hey, guys what do you think?) want a woman who is confident not a school girl. We became close friends. Take a chance!

By the way, my coworker resented me for it but who cares!
