it was not to long a go when my friend made the statement that i was a homemaker, what the f*** is that, i guess because i was cleaning and cooking and stuff. That day i made some BBQ ribs mac and cheese colliard greens, and potato salad with a slice of corn bread. Being called a homemaker is that a bad thing or she was just jealous because i have a man.

i didnt see the problem who wants a dirty house, and who doesnt want a cooked meal?

  1. Technically, a homemaker is someone who doesn't work, but does work around a house like cleaning, cooking, and stuff like that.  I think your friend is worried that you might not make anything of yourself.

  2. She sounds jealous to me. There is no shame at all in cooking and taking care of a home and man. Most men appreciate a woman who will cook and good meal and take care of things. I was a homemaker for many years before my children grew up and I decided to enter the work force. I am proud of my life and my family.

  3. It's not an insult don't take offense to it at all.

  4. I agree, nothing wrong with that.  If you're a good cook and enjoy cooking then do what makes you happy.  And I think everyone will agree that a clean house is better than a dirty house.  The most important thing is how you feel about it not what somebody else thinks or says.  Some friend.

  5. Totally on your side girl, its better than not knowing how to do anything around your house, those girls are just plain lazy. Dont listen to her, she was just probaly jealous that you know how to take care of your house.
